Assistant Professor Ted Mandigo to Make First-Time Appearance at Prestigious Industry Event in New York on November 13, 2011

Chicago—October 25, 2011 —Assistant Professor Ted Mandigo of the Kendall College School of Hospitality Management will present at the upcoming International Hotel, Motel & Restaurant Show (IHMRS) on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, from 1 – 2:30 pm at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. His session, “Missed Opportunities in Hotel Food and Beverage Operations,” marks the first time Mandigo addresses the IHMRS show attendees.

“This is a great honor for Professor Mandigo, as well as for the Kendall College School of Hospitality Management,” said Dean Jeffrey Catrett. “Ted’s research is extremely interesting as he exposes some fundamental flaws in the ways we have traditionally thought about space allocation and the potential of food and beverage for generating profit. This presentation will show hoteliers that they need to completely reconsider some of our industry’s long-held assumptions.”

Mandigo is past president of the Illinois CPA Society, past member of the national council of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), and helped to found the International Society of Hospitality Consultants. With over 30 years of consulting experience, he is frequently quoted in local and national publications regarding the local market and the state of the industry in general. During his career, Mr. Mandigo has conducted more than 1,000 market feasibility studies and consulting analyses for the hospitality industry, as well as numerous national and international programs and seminars.

Mandigo, CPA, is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and holds an MBA from Loyola University in Chicago.
