Kendall College Launches International Hospitality Speaker Series Presented in Partnership with HOTELS Magazine
Lecture Series brings Top Executive Edwin Fuller to Campus December 13
Chicago-November 9, 2011-The Kendall College School of Hospitality Management announced it has launched “Global Hospitality Spotlight: A Speaker Series” to bring together industry thought leaders and trendsetters who will share ideas and insights on the hospitality industry’s critical issues. Presented in partnership with HOTELS Magazine, the first event features Edwin Fuller, president and managing director, International Lodging Division, Marriott International, Inc.
The event also features a concluding Q&A session moderated by Jeff Weinstein, editor-in-chief of HOTELS Magazine. “We are delighted to partner with HOTELS Magazine to present this lecture series to the professional hospitality management community,” said School of Hospitality Management Dean Jeffrey Catrett. “Our goal is to bring together industry thought leaders to analyze and discuss the trends and issues facing our dynamic industry. We’re pleased to launch the program with an industry veteran and accomplished author like Edwin Fuller, and look forward to continuing to provide a platform for many more influential speakers in the future.”
The registration fee for the event was $25, and included breakfast and a copy of Mr. Fuller’s book, You Can’t Lead With Your Feet on the Desk: Building Relationships, Breaking Down Barriers and Delivering Profits. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Kendall College Charitable Trust, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing financial support for students of need enrolled at Kendall College.
About the Speaker:
Edwin Fuller has served as Marriott International’s president and managing director of the International Lodging Division since 1991. Mr. Fuller’s strategic leadership led to the founding of more than 400 hotels in more than 70 countries located across six continents. During his tenure, gross sales have increased from $325M to $7B.
