博士Susan Tinnish带着25年的行业经验和与肯代尔的深厚情谊进入这一新角色

       芝加哥,2013年1月8日——Susan Tinnish(博士)已经被任命为肯代尔大学酒店管理学院院长。Tinnish博士将管理和监管酒店管理学院方方面面的事务,包括教职员工、课程选择、评估和课程指导。Tinnish从2008年开始成为肯代尔大学的一名教职员工,随后曾与Chris Letchinger一起担任酒店管理学院临时院长。作为院长,她将肩负起管理为学生提供芝加哥排名第一的酒店管理职业生涯课程(ORC国际,2011年调查显示)的重任。

Kendall College Appoints New Dean of the School of Hospitality Management

Dr.Susan Tinnish brings 25 years of business experience and deep ties to Kendall to the role

CHICAGO 01/08/13 – Susan Tinnish, Ph.D., has been named dean of the Kendall College School of Hospitality Management. Dr. Tinnish will oversee and manage all aspects of the School including faculty and curriculumselection, assessment and program direction. She was previously School of Hospitality Management Interim Co-Dean along with ChrisLetchinger and has been a faculty member at Kendallsince 2008. As dean, she will be taking the helm of the No. 1 Chicago program for preparing students for hospitalitymanagement careers (ORC International– 2011 Survey.)

Dr. Tinnish is a highly regarded thought leader in the hospitality industry. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences including ITME’sMotivation Show, Meeting Professionals International conferences, ProfessionalConvention Management Association national conferences and Hospitality Salesand Marketing Association International’s MEET and Affordable Meetings.  Amember of the Kendall College School of Hospitality Management faculty since2008, Dr. Tinnish has taught courses on leadership, organizational behavior,sustainability and meeting management.  She also played a key role inlaunching Kendall’s new concentration in Sustainable Management in Hospitality and Tourism.

Dr. Tinnish is an expert on sustainable practices for business meetings andtrade shows. She chairs the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)committee that established the APEX/ASTM International Standards forenvironmentally sustainable meetings and events and served as the U.S. Chairfor the International Standards Organization (ISO) effort to develop aworldwide sustainable events management system.

Dr. Tinnish earned her PhD from BenedictineUniversity in Lisle, Illinois.  She holds an M.B.A. with aconcentration in finance and marketing from Universityof Chicago’s BoothSchool and a B.S. in communicationstudies from Northwestern University.
